Jonathan Green: Producer / Presenter / Commentator

Jonathan Green is one of the world’s leading motor sports broadcasters with 17 years at the sharp end of the sport as producer, presenter, reporter and commentator and is one of a handful in his field that he covers both two and four wheel motor sport from Formula One to Moto GP and World Superbikes.

While he is known for his motor sport Endeavour’s Jonathan Has also presented and commentated on Football, Rugby and Cricket World Cups the Winter Olympics and more recently sports as Diverse as Snooker, Surfing, Darts and the Americas Cup and Red Bull Air Racing.

Starting out as a reporter for Channel TV in the channel Islands he then spent a year as Sports reporter for all new satellite of BSkyB in 1990. He then moved to Hong Kong for the exciting start up of what was to become part of Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp Empire “Star TV.”

While at star he honed his Presenter and Producer Skills and become responsible for all Star TVS motor Sport output which covered Formula 1, Indy Cars, MotoGP, World Superbikes and the Asian Fesitval of Speed. He went on to co-produce Star TV's flagship show, Grand Prix Sunday, which covered all forms of Motorsport in a 5 hour live studio show.

In 1996 he left Star with a unique opportunity to become the live producer/reporter for ESPN America's Formula One coverage. Traveling to all 17 grand Prix bringing in side story for the 96 and 97 seasons covering the famous duels between Michael Schumacher and Damon Hill and subsequently the Villeneuve v Schumacher battle for the 97 title.

Returning to the UK at the end of 1997, Jonathan began working immediately for Sky Sports as a reporter on world Superbikes during what was known as the sports biggest growth period “the Foggy era” when Britain’ Carl Fogarty won four world Titles.

Not wanting to loose ties with both Formula One and his motor Sport contacts in Asia Jonathan then formed his own production company in early 1998 and began producing programmes for Star TV on Formula One as well being the executive producer for the Asian Fesitval of Speed a project he instigated in his days at Star. He also established himself as the voice of the Macau Grand Prix following in the footsteps of Murray Walker and James Allen and is now in his 17th year of service for the prestigious Asian Motor sport event.

The Green Inc production arm also grew from strength to strength and now based in Putney south west London has become a leading producer of Motor sports programming and sports documentaries and has grown into a service provider for Production editing, commentary and Voice over and pod casts services for clients around the world.

In 2000 Jonathan become the presenter of Sky Sports latest motor Sport adventure “Speedway.” Now in its 8th year of production it is one of sky sports most popular products and has a regular live weekly 2 and half hour show based around the British league. Jonathan is also the official commentator for international Grand Prix Speedway owned by BSI and IMG which this year celebrates its 100th Grand Prix.

Jonathan is the official commentator for the World Superbikes and through Green Inc is the Editor and producer of their international highlights shows and Superstars Touring car show.

Most recently Jonathan has returned to the Formula One in the form of “F1 in Cinema” a new dynamic coverage of Formula designed specifically for movie Theatres world wide. Although still in its infancy Jonathan is a Producer / Commentator hoping to take Formula One to wider audience than ever before with the use of all the latest Gizmos broadcast has to offer.

With 11 Grand Prix worldwide, Jonathan commentates and voices the international magazine show which is broadcast throughout the season.

Asian festival Of Speed

March - November 2008

Now in its 11th year, Motorsport Asia and the Asian Festival Of Speed is the biggest international motor racing series in the Asian region. As Head of Television Jonathan Green has helped shape the current 40 hours of broadcast output shown worldwide. The Festival includes 7 different motor racing series from the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia to Formula BMW Pacific.
