British racing driver Andy Priaulx is currently the two time world touring car Champion and heads to the 2007 season looking to make it three in a row. Having won the European title in 2004 and back to back titles in 2005 and 2006 he was dubbed by Autosport Magazine as the Schumacher of tintops. This season he will once again drive for BMW UK in the Belgium based BMR Team as they take on the much larger factory teams from BMW Alpha Romeo and Seat.
In 2005 Green Inc completed a fly on the wall documentary at the final round of the year, the Macau Grand Prix, where Priaulx wrapped up his first world title. Working side by side with Eurosport and the WTCC, Green Inc followed Andy’s progress for five days at the Macau event both on track and behind the scenes. Unfettered from the restrictions and lack of access from most other world class motorsport, Green Inc were able to gain a true insight of what it takes to become a world champion in today’s high profile and high powered world of motorsport.
The story of Priaulx's career is a classic "rags to riches" from his early days as a racing instructor at Silverstone circuit to a double world champion and F1 test driver. In this candid documentary Andy pulls no punches letting the audience know his inner thoughts as he strives to make it to the top, his inner confidence and his insecurities all played out at the back drop of one of the most demanding circuits in the world.
If "Grand Tourismo" is the most popular computer game amongst young race fans, Priaulx’s story is the real thing.
