Production

Nick Kennerley is a creative programme maker with considerable experience in TV production and has also held senior management positions in broadcast television. He has worked in many different programme areas as executive and series producer, producer and director, with credits which span features, sport, entertainment, music, documentaries and current affairs.

Nick has headed many production teams and particularly enjoys working closely with and motivating his colleagues to draw out and channel their creativity. After some years at the BBC, he became one of TWI's leading producers during its period of growth in the 90s, helping it become the biggest and most prolific production company in the country. He was in charge of TWI's considerable worldwide tennis programming and later produced Channel Four's award winning American Football coverage. More recently he was Deputy Head of Sport at Channel Four and played a leading role as part of the team which pitched to the ECB for the Cricket Rights, inputting all the editorial ideas.

Nick Kennerley producing the Wimbledon Documentary

He enjoys a reputation for being innovative and bringing fresh ideas to television. His irreverent documentary about Miami, for example, which he made in collaboration with the author Carl Hiaasen for Channel 4, picked up an award at The New York Festivals for turning a travel show on its head. Likewise, when he took over the Wimbledon Official Films in the nineties, he changed them from being simply records of the Championships to structured documentaries that brought to life the Championships and the diverse characters involved. His success as a sports producer was due to the fact that he broke the mould, enhancing sports coverage with compelling and attractive films that told stories.

A former film editor, he is still at heart a programme maker and is always looking for that new challenge that will test his creative skills to the utmost. It was because of this he joined up with Jonathan Green and Rick Moore in 2004 to develop Green Inc and to have the freedom to carry on making programmes across all genres with colleagues who have complementary talents.
